Feature

Why do I want it?

H.264 compression algorithm ideal for standalone DVR H.264 makes your footage take up less space on your DVR’s hard drive which means you can record more good quality images over a longer period of time, before you need to start over-writing. H.264 is part of next generation MPEG 4 and even being used in HD and Blu-ray DVD formats.
Pentaplex function: live, recording, playback, backup and remote access Pentaplex function means that this clever little machine can do five things at once – in the case of u-View that means you can watch your cameras live locally, record all of them, playback what you’ve already recorded, backup your images and view everything remotely all at the same time!
Realtime live display up to 4 cameras, 100s recording for CIF CCTV footage is recorded generally to three levels of picture quality: 4CIF being the highest, 2CIF (mid) and CIF the lowest. With H.264 compression CIF will give you a good quality of recorded image as well as a good quality of live view – good enough to make out details on faces and number plates for example.
250GB hard drive as standard. A hard drive of this size means that you can record good quality images for a longer period of time before your hard drive will need to over-write. For example you should be able to continuously record 4 cameras for at least 14 days.
Smart video detection: motion detection, camera blank, video loss You don’t need to record all of your cameras all of the time, you can set the machine to record only if something happens, which means you don’t have to watch hours of unnecessary footage to investigate something that’s happened. You can also set the cameras to record at certain times of day for example at night or out of hours.
Multiple control methods: IR remote controller, USB mouse all supplied You can choose the method of usage that suits you most at no extra cost.
Multi-DVR client Networking access for remote live viewing, recording, playback, setting, system status and event log. When u-View has been connected to your broadband you can watch your cameras securely over the Internet from wherever you anywhere in the world.
Pan, tilt, zoom and speed dome control; more than 60 protocols supported, preset, scan, auto pan, auto tour, pattern, auxiliary function supported. You can use your u-View to manage your cameras either on site or via your PC over the Internet. You can move your cameras or manage the speed at which your dome cameras turn. u-View will work with over 60 different types of cameras and they are adding more all of the time.
Easy backup methods: USB devices and network download. When you want to backup your images you can either save your video directly onto USB devices (this includes external disk drives) by connecting them to the USB port. Or you can download images directly onto your PC and create CDs or DVDs.
4 channel audio inputs and cross talk supported. All channel inputs can also record audio and are designed to exclude unnecessary background noise from any recording with ‘cross talk’.
UPS 850VA included Ultra-violet photoemission spectroscopy – ha only joking! Uninterruptible power supplies are included as standard, this will protect the continuity of your power supply against power-surges and dips which can have a major effect on storage devices – corrupting stored data and wiping areas of the HDD.
